About Us

Fair World Treasures was started as a way to sell fair trade products directly to consumers in the US. Tony Devassy and his wife, Elsy Devassy, M.D., were born and raised in India and have formed close relationships with many artisan groups during their frequent travels there. Tony has been President of Care & Share, the charity he started, for over 20 years. As a way to raise additional funds to support Care & Share, the Devassys thought it would be a wonderful idea to start a fair trade company, where they could simultaneously help the artisan groups and support Care & Share.

Care & Share is an international 501(c)3 charity which supports many of our artisan groups, as well as poor and underprivileged around the world. Over the years, Care & Share has reached out to North America, South America, Africa, and Asia. $0.96 out of every $1.00 donated to Care & Share goes directly into the hands of the most deserving people.
