Our Artisans

Our organization works closely with several artisan groups from all across India. Some of our artisans train in the conceptualizing and designing aspects of items and produce handmade jewelry, home goods, and office supplies. Other artisans literally go out into the streets of Delhi to pick up ploythene bags and recycle them by washing, drying, and pressing the bags into eco-friendly plastic handbags, wallets, and luggage tags. And yet other artisans go out into the rural forests of Southern India to cut and shape the rare wood found from Hale trees and mix the pieces of wood with a natural lacquer to create unique, wooden toys.
The main objective of working with various artisan groups throughout India is to help these talented people receive a fair wage, be treated with dignity and respect, and be able to live a quality life. Through the relationship between Fair World Treasures and its artisans, we hope to usher social and economic change and make a difference in the world at a very necessary time.
